Layer 8. Beliefs
Layer 8. Beliefs
Beliefs profoundly shape our perceptions, actions, and personal development. We usually navigate our life based on the interplay between intuition, biases, and non-factual information, aligning with our values. Hence, exploring our core beliefs is crucial during self-discovery and self-actualization.
Beliefs and knowledge differ in foundation and validation. Knowledge results from rigorous examination, testing, and evidence. Beliefs are personal convictions, not grounded in empirical evidence, shaped by interpretations and experiences.
Despite lacking objective grounding, Beliefs complement knowledge, filling gaps in uncertain scenarios when information is limited. Intuition, closely linked to beliefs, taps into subconscious processing and past experiences, guiding instinctive decisions. While not always rational or evidence-based, these leaps of faith enable exploration of new possibilities. Beliefs empower decision-making when information is scarce, fostering growth, resilience, and adaptability.
